SSP terms charges baseless

KATHUA, Aug 9: A lady panch of Hiranagar from BJP Vinakshi today alleged that Hiranagar police has tarnished her image after forcibly entering her beauty parlor shop in her absence yesterday when the shop was locked.
Talking to reporters at Hiranagar today, she said when she was not in the shop some cops from Hiranagar Police Station opened it yesterday which was locked from outside by scaling a mounty of adjoining shop. She said when she came to know about the same she visited Police Station Hiranagar to find out the reason but the concerned officers failed to give any satisfactory reply of their action. Taking serious note of the police action she warned to take any drastic step in case Hiranagar police does not seek apology from her. She said being a public figure this was police was tarnishing her image among the people which she will not tolerate. The Panch said if police had to raid her shop it should have been done in her presence by informing her.
However, SSP Kathua, Shalinder Kumar Misra said that police received a compliant from a local public representative of the area that during the lockdown the Panch has kept her beauty parlor open and some ladies have gathered there.
He said to check it a police team visited there and they found that the shop was not locked from outside. The police pulled the shutter of the shop up which was half open but found that there was no one inside.
Terming the charges baseless he said if it was the lockdown how the shop was open from outside and its half shutter was up.
