Palmolein oils extend losses on sluggish demand

NEW DELHI, Aug 23: In thin trade, palmolein oil prices shed another Rs 50 per quintal at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on sluggish demand.
However, other edible and non-edible oils moved in a tight range and settled around previous levels.
Traders said besides sluggish demand and a report of weak global trend mainly led to the decline in palmolein oil prices.
In the national capital, palmolein (rbd) and palmolein (Kandla) oils fell by Rs 50 each to Rs 6,050 and Rs 5,850 per quintal, respectively.
Following are today’s quotations (in Rs per quintal):
Oilseeds: Mustard seed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.
Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) 1,140-1,250.
Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) 7,500, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) 1,300-1,375, Mustard expeller (Dadri) 7,000, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) 1,225-1,275, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) 1,275-1,375, sesame mill delivery 8,400, Soyabean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) 6,600, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) 6,300, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) 5,100, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) 6,150, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 6,050, Palmolein (Kandla) 5,850 and Coconut (per tin) 2,650-2,700.
Non-edible oils: Linseed 7,800, Castor 9,650-9,750, Neem 5,350-5,450. (PTI)
