JAMMU, Feb 6: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president, Ravinder Raina today said that frustrated over prevailing peace in J&K, Pakistan is sending terrorists to this side of border to create unrest and violence in the Union Territory but its evil designs will be frustrated by the alert Indian Army and paramilitary forces.
While addressing a press conference, here, Ravinder Raina congratulated the Indian forces including Army, BSF, CRPF, ITBP in neutralising three Pakistani terrorists at Ban Toll Plaza, near Nagrota recently and arresting their over ground supporters. Terming it a great achievement of Indian Army and security forces, Raina warned Pakistan that it will not be allowed to succeed in its evil designs and its every misadventure will be defeated by full might.
Raina said that after abrogation of Article 370 complete peace prevailed in all three regions of erstwhile J&K State and people kept an example of brotherhood for others to follow. He said though there was violence in other parts of country over CAA people in J&K maintained total peace. He said our forces kept Tricolour always unfurled in J&K and Pakistan which received a jolt after seeing that there are no takers for its game-plan continued to send armed desperadoes to foment trouble.
But Pakistan has now been exposed before the world, he said and lauded the role of people of J&K for supporting the armed forces in weeding-out terrorism.
Raina, while complementing Central Government led by Narendra Modi for earmarking Rs 31,000 crore for development of J&K said the huge funds kept for J&K will help in construction of schools, hospitals, bridges, power generation and taking up of many water supply schemes in hand.
Raina said that Modi Government is committed for restoration of total peace and normalcy in J&K as BJP believes in “Sabka Saath- Sabka Vikass and Sabka Vishwas”. Steps are being taken on war footing basis to solve the problems of people of Ladakh region and every effort will be made for the betterment of the masses of erstwhile J&K State. He alleged Pakistan is hell bent to destroy J&K through terrorism but the Union Government wants to heal the wounds of the people through development.
Raina, while condemning Pakistan for its evil designs warned that if Pakistan did not stop its anti-India activities it has to face serious consequences as India is committed to Zero tolerance against terror. He made a strong dig on some J&K politicians who are given protection by Indian Security Forces and enjoy all other facilities from Government tried to destroy J&K in league with terror outfits. Terming these politicians as traitors, Raina warned that they will not be spared how influential they may be.
Raina while giving full credit to people of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh regions said post 370 abrogation total peace and normalcy prevailed everywhere and people of all three regions deserve praise for that. He said the political leaders in preventive detention if released can provoke people through their statements to vitiate the atmosphere in J&K.
BJP State general secretary, Yudhvir Sethi, JMC Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta, State press secretary, Dr. Pardeep Mahotra and district president Jungbir Singh were also present in the press conference.
