JAMMU, Sept 18: Twin videos released by the Army today showed troops thwarting an infiltration attempt in Hajipir sector and Pakistan Special Services Group (SSG) personnel gathering across Krishna Ghati sector in Poonch district with a view to facilitate infiltration attempt by the militants.
One of the videos carried thermal images of infiltration by militants from Hajipir sector along the Line of Control (LoC). The militants were trying to infiltrate into the Indian territory but their attempt was successfully foiled by the troops.

There was no loss of life of the Indian troops as the intrusion bid was foiled successfully.
Since August 5 after revocation of special Constitutional provisions of Jammu and Kashmir and bifurcation of the State into two Union Territories of J&K and Ladakh, Pakistan army has gone all out to push as many militants as possible into Jammu and Kashmir but all such infiltration bids have been thwarted by the alert troops in which number of militants have been killed
Some Pakistan army personnel have also been killed in the failed infiltration attempts as they were trying to facilitate intrusions by the militants, official sources said, adding that number of infiltration bids have been caught on CCTVs and thermal imagers by the security personnel.
Few days back, Army had released footage of failed BAT (Border Action Team) attack in Keran sector of Kupwara district in which six to seven militants were killed. Pakistan army had refused to take their bodies.
Yet another CCTV footage was released by the Army pertaining to Hajipir sector in which Pakistan army personnel were showing white flags calling for truce to lift bodies of their two personnel, who had been killed in retaliatory action of the Indian troops. The Indian Army had obliged by halting the firing to allow Pakistan to carry bodies of their troops.
The Army today also released another video which showed Pakistan army’s SSG commandos camping at the LoC opposite Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district with a view to push trained infiltrators into the Indian territory
“SSG troops were seen across Krishna Ghati sector. Their movement was in the morning hours in thick foliage area, which was picked up by alert troops and some hi-tech equipment,” sources said, adding the SSG personnel were engaged by the Indian troops, who were sent to seek close contact to destroy them.
Sensing detection, the Pakistan SSG troops disengaged and rushed back to their nearest post, according to sources.
At the site, sources said, an action camera was recovered by the Indian Army during search operation.
“A video from the same camera showed Pakistan SSG troops in the vicinity of the post,” sources said.
They pointed out that Pakistan will create hostilities on Line of Control, knowing fully well about resolute Indian response.
Meanwhile, the Indian Army conducted military exercises in Eastern Ladakh, where India shared un-demarcated Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China.
Northern Command chief Lt Gen Ranbir Singh witnessed the military exercises along with other top Army officials.
