Over Rs 6 lakh recovered as fine from SOP violators

Srinagar, June 19: Continuing its efforts to curb the outbreak of the 2nd wave of Coronavirus, police today said to have recovered over Rs 6 lakh as fine from over 3000 SOP violators across Kashmir in the last 24 hours.
“During the last 24 hours Police have arrested 15 persons, lodged 10 FIRs and also realized fine to the tune of ?6,57,300/- from 3986 people throughout the Kashmir valley for violating the various guidelines/rules/SOPs regarding Covid-19,” police said.
The police said that the special drive against the violators of Covid-19 guidelines continued throughout all the districts of Kashmir Valley to ensure that people adhere to SOPs envisaged by the government to curb the COVID-19 pandemic.
