REASI, June 22: Operator of a JCB machine was killed and his associate is missing after the machine rolled down in deep gorge adjoining a water body in Mahore area, here this morning.
The mishap took place at 0715 hours when the JCB machine (JK20B-1579) skidded off the road and slipped into deep gorge at Badora area leading to on the spot death of Harbachan Sharma (20), son of Surinder Kumar of Manikah Kangari Sundebani in Rajouri district, who was operator of the JCB. As per owner of the JCB machine, the JCB operator along with one person was going from Jammu to Chassana for some road work. The other person is missing and he is also feared to have died in the accident.
Mahore Police has registered a case in this regard for further investigation besides searches for the missing person, whose identity was not ascertained.
