Only people can save Punjab: Kejriwal

PATIALA, Dec 31:
Accusing unidentified forces of creating disturbances in Punjab ahead of assembly elections, AAP leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday said that only the people will be able to save the state.
“The people of Punjab will never allow the plans of those who want to disturb the peace of Punjab. The three crore people of Punjab are united, the whole brotherhood is together,” Kejriwal said at a peace march here that was attended by a large number of supporters.
He said that enemies of Punjab had started again to spoil the atmosphere ahead of the elections due next year. “Now only one person can save Punjab: the ‘common man’ of Punjab.”
Kejriwal, whose AAP won the maximum number of seats in the Chandigarh Municipal Corporation, said the unity and brotherhood of Punjab was its biggest strength.
“Enemies of Punjab have started dirty acts before the election,” he said.
Ahead of the 2017 elections too there was a bomb blast and an act of sacrilege, Kejriwal said, quickly adding that the mastermind was not punished.
“If that had been done, no disturbances would have taken place now,” he said. (UNI)
