RAMBAN, Sept 14: One person got killed and one another received serious injuries, when the truck they were traveling in, skidded off the road and plunged into gorge near Maroog, here today.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number PB06H -9369 was on its way to Jammu from Srinagar, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it landed into 300-feet deep gorge near Maroog.
On getting information, police and locals rushed to the spot and shifted the two seriously injured persons to District Hospital, where doctors pronounced one of them as brought dead.
The condition of injured was stated to be criticial, when last reports came in.
The deceased has been identified as Baldev Singh, son of Jagtar Singh of Pathankote, Punjab, whileas the injured has been identified as Jalkar Singh (driver), son of Hajam Singh of Kanwah, Punjab.
A case has been registered in this regard and investigation started.
