RAJOURI, Jan 11: One person was seriously injured during clash over a land dispute while two others were arrested in this connection at Khandli in Rajouri this afternoon.
The victim has been identified as Javed, son of Ghulam Mohammed, resident of Gujjar Mandi, Rajouri. The police said that over a land dispute both parties had call Panchayat. Javed who produced all the land papers claimed that land belonged to him while the second party led by Mohd Hafeez was claiming the owners of the land. During Panchayat the matter could not be resolved.
Then the Javed was severely beaten up by the members of rival party and was taken along with them to their home in a tractor. His bike was also broken at the site. Police party led by SHO Rajouri Chaman Gorkha reached the spot and he rescued the Javed from their house. He was shifted to hospital for treatment. The police arrested Mohd Hafeez and Abdul Gafar and registered case in this connection. A case FIR No. 23/2016 has been registered against 10 persons.
