RAJOURI, Oct 5: Continuing its efforts against drug peddling and narcotics trade, Rajouri police today nabbed a smuggler and recovered 2kg and 300 gms of Charas from his possession from Thanamandi area.
Official sources said that a Thanamandi police party during naka at the town stopped a Tata Mobile vehicle No. JK 11F/0644 for checking. On search, around 02 Kg and 300 gm of charas was recovered from the possession of one person namely, Munawar Hussain, son of Noor Hussain, resident of Choudhary Nar village in Rajouri.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 209/2021 u/s 8/20/21 of the NDPS Act has been registered at PS Thanamandi. The vehicle was seized and the accused arrested on the spot. Further, investigation is in progress.
