JAMMU/SRINAGAR/LEH, Dec 11: One person died of COVID-19 and 149 tested positive in Kashmir division today while 33 fresh cases were reported in Jammu region and 19 in the Union Territory of Ladakh.
Among 33 cases in Jammu, 13 were registered in Jammu district, six in Doda, four Poonch, three Rajouri, two each Kishtwar and Ramban and one each in Reasi, Samba and Kathua districts.
Thirty seven persons recovered from the virus leaving number of active positive cases in the region to 418.
Meanwhile, DC Jammu Anshul Garg today declared Sector No. 3 Rajinder Nagar in Bantalab area of Jammu district as micro-Containment Zone.
Among 19 fresh COVID cases in Ladakh, 17 were recorded in Leh district and two in Kargil.
Ladakh now has 220 active positive cases including 202 in Leh and 18 in Kargil.
Meanwhile, Kashmir today reported 149 fresh cases of COVID-19.
Those who tested positive include 66 from Srinagar, 20 from Baramulla,16 from Budgam, 5 from Pulwama, 26 from Kupwara, 1 from Anantnag, 8 from Bandipora, 6 from Ganderbal and 1 from Kulgam.
The number of positive cases in Kashmir division has reached 213,152 including 209,673 recoveries and 2,302 deaths.
The number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,595 including 1,177 from Kashmir division. With 204 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 332,659 which is 98.20 percent of the total cases.
