POONCH, Sept 24: One person was killed and 12 others were injured when a passenger bus met with an accident on Jammu-Poonch highway near Dalera in Poonch district this evening.
Official sources said that the bus was on its way from Jammu to Poonch and it turned turtle on the road near Dalera village. One person was killed on the spot in mishap while about a dozen others injured.

“All the injured were taken shifted to Raja Sukhdev Singh District Hospital Poonch by Police, locals and the army”, they said.
Deceased was identified as Taseer Ahmed 923), son of Mohd Sharief, resident of Phamna Naar Gursai in Mendhar. The injured have been identified as Shakeel Ahmed (17), son of Mohd Sharif, resident of Hari Budda; Mohd Irfan (17), son of Mohd Sultan, resident of Shankar Nager; Aftab Ahmed (16), son of Mohd Shabir, resident of Buffliaz; Munir Hussain (50), son of Noor Hussain, resident of Kunayyan Bainch; Ghulam Hussain (27), son of Sultan Mohd, resident of Shahpur; Jatinder Singh (53), son of Omkar Singh, resident of Kathua; Vikas Sharma (36), son of Koshal Kumar, resident of Manghnar; Sultan Mohd (50), son of Nawab Ali, resident of Ward number 5 Poonch; Mumtaz Ahmed (36), son of Abdul Aziz, resident of Seri Khawaja; Menakshi Sharma (39), wife of Mukesh Sharma, resident of Aala Peer, Lovesh sharam (06), son of Mukesh Sharam resident of Aala Peer and Mohd Hafiz (50), son of Mohd Shafi, resident of Lassana.
Station House Officer Poonch, Insp Ranjit Rao said that a case vide FIR number 200/2022 under section 279, 337, 304-A has been registered and investigation taken up.
Medical Superintendent Poonch, Dr Zulfiqar said that 12 injured were brought to the hospital beside one dead body. The deceased was said to be killed on the spot.
