KATHUA, Mar 14: The sleuths of Narcotics Department and State Police recovered 14.90 kgs of charas from a truck bearing registration Number JK05-6906 at Lakhanpur today.
The truck loaded with apple boxes was on its way from Lakhanpur to Delhi. The police on a tip off intercepted the truck at Lakhanpur Toll post and started checking. It recovered the charas which was packed in one of the boxes.
The driver of the truck identified as Mohammed Maqbool Lone, son of Abdul Yagoob Lone of Baramulla was arrested and charas seized. A case under NDPS Act was registered against the driver.
