RAJOURI, Apr 4: Castigating the false propaganda unleashed by the National Conference (NC) leaders against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its Prime Ministerial candidate, Narendra Modi, State vice president of the Party, Vibodh Gupta today said that NC is trying to hold the ‘sinking ship’ of Congress Party which has already lost its hope of coming to power in the Centre again.
NC is fighting and supporting Congress for the ‘cause of its existence’, as by not contesting the Parliamentary elections from Jammu and Ladakh regions, NC committed ‘political suicide’ and this also proved its Kashmir centric approach and ignorance towards the people living on this side of ‘Jawahar Tunnel’, Gupta said while addressing a rally at Gambir Mauglan village of Rajouri district.
“NC leadership is frustrated as they gauge the Modi wave and the overwhelming response of Muslims of joining and admiring BJP which NC has realise is totally against their future as it failed to keep the promises which were made to people before coming to the power”, Gupta said.
Talking over the recent assurance given by Omar Abdullah of granting ST status to Pahari speaking people of the State, Vibodh said that Omar again tried to hoodwink the Paharis as NC leadership is doing for the last 30 years but this time Paharis will not fall prey to its lucrative poll-planks and teach NC and Congress candidates Madan Lal Sharma and Ghulam Nabi Azad a lesson in the present Parliamentary elections and coming Assembly elections.
