JAMMU, June 25: The residents from Old Janipur and members of Janipur People Development Committee (Jammu West), have alleged total neglect of the local park by the Government agencies.
The committee members in a meeting held in the park under the chairmanship of Kulwant Singh Sambyal this evening, expressed strong resentment against the JDA and Floriculture Department for the neglect of this public park. They pointed out that the fountain in the park is not functioning since long and has turned as mere show piece. There are no dust bins, benches installed, no plantation, no drinking water facility and sitting arrangement as well. They also demanded deployment of two gardeners and a Chowkidar there for its upkeep and proper maintenance.
