UDHAMPUR, Dec 1: On the occasion of 51st Raising Day of Border Security Force, Training Centre BSF Udhampur organized a blood donation camp.
The camp was organized with the help of blood bank team of District Hospital Udhampur and a large number of BSF Officers, Subordinate Officers and Solders participated. A total 62 officers and Bordermen donated blood on this occasion.
BSF was raised on December 1, 1965 and in the journey of 51 years, the force has very effectively guarded the International borders with Pakistan and Bangladesh and has taken active part in 1971 Indo-Pak war. May it be the problems in Kashmir, Naxal affected areas, Manipur, Nagaland or to conduct free/fair elections, the force has brought laurels to the nation and has earned a high respect in the hearts and minds of the country.
Speaking on this occasion, J C Singla, DIG, STC BSF Udhampur boosted all bordermen for this kind gesture of donating blood and requested the civilian delegates, present on the occasion, to motivate their fellow villagers for blood donations. He said it gives him immense pleasure that our BSF personnel are not only fighting enemies on borders but also taking part in noble gestures of blood/organ donation. Requesting all bordermen and present civilian gathering to reinforce their efforts in cleanness drive, he also assured full help to nearby villagers on this aspect.
B Kaushal, Comdt, Dr R K Damathia, CMO (SG), Dr N P Kohli, CMO, all officers of STC and village heads of nearby villages were present on this occasion.
