Annual spiritual mela held at Peerbaba Julleylal

JAMMU, Dec 1: The annual spiritual mela of Peerbaba Julleylal was held at Gole Gujral Camp today in which thousands of people participated.
Bhartiya Janta Party vice president and Chairperson of the Education & Women’s Welfare Committee of Union Minority Affairs Ministry Dr Darakhshan Andrabi was the guest of honour while as BJP State president Sat Sharma was the chief guest who led the annual pheri of the saint.
Addressing the gathering BJP president said that this congregation symbolises the secular traditions of our society and he was happy to see the people from all religions and castes celebrating the teachings of the saint together.
Speaking on the occasion Dr Darakhshan Andrabi congratulated the local management committee for organising the mela which has become a very powerful example of universal brotherhood and mutual love among masses. She thanked local gathering for their support to her through and through. “This is the right time when the Government should come forward to help in the expansion of the shrine so that requisite facilities for the pilgrims are provided. She demanded that a stadium or a playing field should be constructed in the locality which is the demand of the people,” said Dr Darakhshan.
She assured the local gathering that she will be voice of the people as she has been in the past and she will fight for their demands. Local management Committee representative Kamaljit Singh was also present on the occasion.
