Samba, Aug 17: Deputy Commissioner Samba, Sheetal Nanda, today reviewed development of Online Software for issuance of Permanent Residence Certificate by NIELET.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Vivek Sharma, ADC Pawan Sharma, SDMs, Tehsildars and other revenue officials. The officials gave their inputs to the software developers for making changes in application to make it more user-friendly and adaptable to the situations faced by revenue staff and public at ground level.
A user can register on the application by entering his details and uploading his requisite documents along with details of fee deposited in Government treasury which would then be forwarded to the PRC issuing authority i.e. ACR/SDM .The ACR/SDM can scrutinize the application and if found complete forward it to sub-ordinate revenue officer. This process continues until the application is complete in all respects and the PRC is ready for issuance.
The users can also check the status of their applications online and can see any objection or clarification sought by revenue authorities. A provision has also been made to send SMS to user to inform the users about any objection on the file and to fix his appointment with revenue officers for removal of objections, camp enquiry, fingerprints and final issuance of PRC. In this way, the applicants will be saved from the hardships of moving from office to office and their files will also be retrievable for future use. An alert has also been in-built for revenue officers so that timeline under PSGA can be met.
Ms Nanda said that the new initiative is expected to improve Government service delivery system by reducing public interaction and the processing time. It will be tested on pilot basis soon and later it will be rolled out in whole of Samba district.
