NOWSHERA, Sept 16: The activists of National Student Union of India (NSUI) projected the demand of construction of a sports stadium and Public Library in the town here today.
During one day convention of the NSUI local unit held here today, the activists strongly raised this demand and invited the attention of the Sports Minister R S Chib and other concerned officers. PCC spokesperson and general secretary Ravinder Sharma (MLC) was the chief guest on the occasion.
NSUI district general secretary, Rajouri Jasneet Singh, Nowshera unit president Randhir Sudan, Sunderbani president Jitender Chib, senior Congress leader Lekh Raj Sharma, Inderjeet Singh and others participated in the function. Besides stadium and Library, they also stressed upon the Higher Education Minister to start Medical stream classes at Degree College, Nowshera.
While addressing the gathering Mr Sharma (MLC) assured the students and the NSUI team that the demands raised by them will be taken up with the concerned higher authorities and all sorts of efforts will be made for the redressal of the same. He said the student organization of Congress is all set to bring revolution in student community and is providing best platform for redressal of the demands of student community.
