NSF celebrates birth anniversary of Ashfaqulla Khan

JAMMU, Oct 22: National Secular Forum (NSF), University Unit organized a programme in the University campus to celebrate the birth anniversary of Ashfaqulla Khan who laid his life for the country.
Amid slogans of ‘Inqulaab Zindabad’ and ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai”, the NSF activists paid tribute to Ashfaqulla Khan and garlanded the portraits of the son of soil.
Ankush Abrol (provincial joint secretary, JKNC) was the chief guest on the occasion while Dr Vikas Sharma (coordinator, Jammu district and zonal secretary JKNC) presided over the function and Dr Sukhdev Singh (state president NSF) was the special guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Ankush Abrol threw light on the life and supreme sacrifices of Ashfaqulla Khan. He said that the real tribute to the martyr would be eradicating evils prevailing in the society like drug addiction, female feticide and dowry. He exhorted the youth to refrain from drugs and intoxicants.
