NR to run Spl trains to Katra, Udhampur

JAMMU, Sept 15: In order to clear extra rush this coming festival season, Northern Railway is going to run reserved festival special trains to and fro Katra/Udhampur Railway Station beginning from September 30.
According to a spokesperson of Northern Railway, a 20-coach biweekly (train number 01672/71) will run between ANVT (Anand Vihar Terminal, Delhi) and UHP (Udhampur Railway Station). The train will start its journey from ANVT on every Monday and Thursday and from Udhampur on every Tuesday and Friday. The first trip of the train will start from ANVT on October 3. There will be total 12 trips of the train in either direction till November 11.
He further informed that another 18-coach weekly (train number 01654/53) will run between SVDK (Katra Railway Station) and BSB (Varanasi Junction railway station) and the first trip of the train will start on October 2 from Katra Railway Station. This special train will move from Katra beginning on every Sunday and Varanasi Junction from every Tuesday. The train will undertake a total of 7 trips in either direction till November 15.
The spokesperson also revealed that a 20-coach tri-weekly (train number 01633/34) will ply between NDLS (New Delhi Railway Station) and UHP (Udhampur). The train will start its journey on every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday from New Delhi Railway Station and every Thursday, Saturday and Monday from Udhampur. The train will commence its first trip from NDLS on September 30 and undertake a total of 19 trips in either direction till November 12.
Apart from these, he said some more festival specials trains between BSB-ANVT, NZM (Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station, South Delhi) -LKO (Lucknow Charbagh), ANVT-LKO and DLI (Old Delhi Railway Station) -BSB will also be running at definite frequency.
