JAMMU, Jan 15: Reiterating the demand of issuance of Dogra certificate to Jammu youth, National Panthers Student Union (NPSU) today lambasted the BJP for not espousing the sensitive issue in the past ten months.
Virender Singh, State president, NPSU while addressing a press conference at party headquarters disclosed that Dogra certificate helped the youth of Jammu in the recruitment in military and para-military services by according relaxation in physical parameters.
He lamented that BJP vociferously raked up this issue ahead of Assembly elections in 2014 to lure the youth of Jammu but unfortunately it took a vicious U-turn on the subject after coming to power.
He said that BJP should recall all the Jammu based issues including the issuance of Dogra Certificate to Jammu youth, review them and impress upon the Kashmiri leaders for effective implementation of these before forging any alliance.
