KATHUA May 12: Hiranagar Police today arrested a notorious drug peddler and seized four grams of heroin from his position.
As per reports, the drug peddler was arrested and contraband was seized by a team of police headed Inspector, J.J.Bhagat, SHO Police Station Hiranagar during patrolling and checking duty at Link Road near Jandi.
The drug peddler was identified as Jagdish Kumar, S/o Durga Dass, R/o Jandi Hiranagar, Kathua.
Police has registered a FIR No 60/19 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act against the accused. Further investigation is going on.
Kathua Police is striving hard and taking every step to aware general public especially youths by interactions against the drug menace. It has also launched anti drug campaign to eradicate drug menace, a police officer said. “We request people of the area to come forward and share any information about drug peddling or consumption and cooperate with police in this regard to save the society’’, he added.
