JAMMU, July 4: A notorious criminal was apprehended under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA) here today.
A police spokesperson said that the arrest warrant of Pawan Singh alias Panna of Chanjwan Devipur, Jammu, was executed by a team of Police Station Akhnoor led by Inspector Zaheer Mushtaq, SHO Akhnoor, under the overall supervision of SDPO Akhnoor, Mohan Lal Sharma.
He said that Pawan Singh was involved in several criminal activities, including cases related to Arms Act and Excise Act.
His arrest was sought after an arrest warrant was issued against him, said the police spokesperson.
Today, the long-standing efforts of the police bore fruit as they successfully executed the arrest warrant of Pawan Singh. Following his apprehension, the accused was promptly transferred to the Central Jail, Kot Bhalwal, Jammu.
