JAMMU, July 4: A Rohingya refugee putting up in Kiryani Tallab area here died in a road accident, police said today.
They said Anwar Sadiq (20) son of Lalu Miyan of Myanmar at present Kiryani Tallab, Jammu, was hit by a truck on the Jammu-Pathankot Highway near Hotel Ritz Manor on the intervening nights of July 3-4-2023, leaving him in a pool of blood.
“He was taken to Government Medical College Jammu where he didn’t respond to the treatment around 12:56 am today,” police said.
The body of the deceased has been shifted to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting the post mortem while a case FIR number 100/2023 under Sections 279, 337, and 304 (A) has been registered against the accused at Police Station Channi Himmat.
Further investigation is on, police further said.
