No discrimination with any constituency: CEC

Leh, Apr 24: The Chief Executive Councilor, LAHDC, Leh Dr. Sonam Dawa Lonpo on a one day tour of Basgo constituency visited Taroo, Umla, Nimoo, Basgo and Ney villages today.
He was accompanied by EC Works Dorjey Mutup, EC Agriculture Tsering Wangdus, EC Tourism Tsering Sandup,   Councilor Basgo Tsering Norboo and concerned engineers and officers.
Denying any sort of discrimination in development constituencies, CEC assured the people that present Council will give equal attention in development of every constituency irrespective of party lines, adding that we are more concerned about the development of non BJP constituencies.
Responding to some common problems in all the visited villages, CEC directed I&FC and Rural Departments to ensure temporary restoration of all the head works and irrigation canals before the sowing season and assured for strong follow up of Rs. 1600 crore project already submitted at State Govt for permanent restoration of different works in Leh district.
Regarding replacement of wooden electric poles with iron ones, CEC assured said that iron poles will be procured when Srinagar -Leh road will open and all the wooden poles of the district will be replaced.
CEC also inspected damaged sites of  Basgo Nallah at different locations and directed EC Works Dorjey Mutup to make a complete survey of the Tokpo within in week and with the consent of village representatives identify vulnerable points where protection bunds are needed. Assuring all possible support from Council in solving different problems of all the villages, Dr. Dawa urged people of fix their work priority wise so that Council could complete the works in shortest possible time.
Area Councilor Tsering Nurboo apprised the visiting team about the problems of all the village and demanded for permanent restoration of different works.
