JAMMU, Sept 23: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) here today has demanded regularization of thousands of daily rated workers working in the various departments.
Addressing a NMC workers meet, its President, Subash Shastri urged the Governor administration to immediately provide funds to enable respective departments to pay the long pending wages of all daily rated workers engaged by different government departments.
He also demanded release of 7th Pay Commission arrears to all category pensioners in one go and enhancing medical allowance to Rs. 1000 for State pensioners besides granting 7th pay commission benefits to SSA teachers.
Those who were present in the meeting included Rajan Babu Khajuria, B.S Jamwal, Surinder Kumar, Shiv Ram Sharma, Romesh Sharma, Jai Pal Sharma, Ram Singh, Darshan Bawa, Surinder Kumar, Sardari Lal, Sudesh Bhagat and others.
