JAMMU, Mar 13: NHPC, India’s premier hydropower company organized ‘Vasant Utsav 2022’ under ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ with great fervour and enthusiasm at the NHPC Residential complex, Surajkund, Faridabad.
The programme was inaugurated by AK Singh, CMD, NHPC in the presence of YK Chaubey, Director (Technical), RP Goyal, Director (Finance), AK Srivastava, CVO, NHPC and other senior officers of NHPC alongwith their families.
Sudha Singh, President, NHPC Ladies Welfare Association, Pushpa Chaubey, Gayatri Goyal and other members of Ladies Welfare Association were also present on the occasion.
The Vasant Utsav was celebrated to welcome the arrival of spring and to showcase the rich and diverse Indian culture.
A number of stalls promoting local handicrafts, dress materials, food delicacies, puppet show etc. from various states/Union Territories as J&K, Himachal Pradesh, Sikkim, West Bengal, Manipur, Uttarakhand, Assam etc. and were set up by NHPC power stations/ projects and NHPC Ladies Welfare Association at Vasant Utsav 2022.
The special attractions of the Utsav were performances from renowned Indian Folk Singer Padamshri Malini Awasthi, traditional Indian dances by performers from Centre for Cultural Resources and Training, New Delhi and show by magician Ishamudin Khan which enthralled everyone present on the occasion.
A flower show was also put up by NHPC employees held during the occasion.
