JAMMU, Dec 22: Dr. Sumeet Jerath, Secretary (Official Language), Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, releasing the booklet ‘NHPC – Harit Prayason se Satat Jalvidyut Vikas’ prepared in Hindi, in the presence of A.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC at the inauguration of Akhil Bhartiya Rajbhasha Sammelan organized by NHPC.
Others present on the occasion were B.L. Meena, Director (Implementation), Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India and from NHPC Ratish Kumar, Director (Projects), N K Jain, Director (Personnel), Y K Chaubey, Director (Technical), R.P. Goyal, Director (Finance) and A.K. Srivastava, CVO.
NHPC Limited is organizing a two-day Akhil Bhartiya Rajbhasha Sammelan from December 22 this year through videoconferencing. Dr. Sumeet Jerath, Secretary (Official Language), Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India was the chief guest at the inauguration of the Sammelan. During the sammelan, B.L. Meena, Director (Implementation) and K.P. Sharma, Deputy Director (Implementation) Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs were also present with Secretary (Official Language).
A.K. Singh, CMD, NHPC, all Directors and Heads of Departments from Corporate Office were present along with heads of all the Projects, Power Stations and offices who also joined the Sammelan through video conferencing. During the Sammelan, a brief presentation was made regarding various works concerning Official Language being undertaken in NHPC.
Secretary (official Language) also released the booklet ‘NHPC- Harit Prayason se Satat Jalvidyut Vikas’ prepared in Hindi by NHPC.
In his address, Secretary (Rajbhasha) spoke about the importance of Rajbhasha Hindi and said that the love and attachment to Rajbhasha is a form of love for nation. He called for incorporation of 10 ‘Pra’ i.e. Prerna, Protsahan, Prem, Prize or Puruskar, Prashikshan, Prayog, Prachar, Prasar, Prabandhan and Prayasin the Department’s strategy to move ahead in the field of Official Language.
Secretary (Official Language) expressed satisfaction on the efforts being made by NHPC for implementation of Official Language. On this occasion, Secretary (Rajbhasha) and other senior officials also visited the ‘Experience Centre’ set up at the Corporate Office and commended the work being done by NHPC towards nation building. The Rajbhasha Sammelan will be held for two days and various aspects and dimensions of the Official Language will be discussed in detail.
