Ladakh MP virtually dedicates 8 newly commissioned filling stations

LEH, Dec 22: The new Union Territory status has opened ways to explore avenues and opportunities for the overall development of Ladakh.
This was stated by Member Parliament Ladakh Jamyang Tsering Namgyal during the inauguration ceremony of the Indian Oil Corporation Limited new Shey filling station at Shey Smanla today.
This is the 19th filling station by IOCL in the region of Ladakh.
MP Jamyang Namgyal also inaugurated the 5 Kg Free Trade LPG (FTL) gas cylinders ‘Chhotu’. On the occasion, he also made a virtual dedication of eight newly commissioned IOCL filling stations situated in various parts of Leh and Kargil districts.
MP Namgyal mentioned his frequent checking about winter-stocking of fuel and expressed his satisfaction over the overall stocking of fuel and LPG cylinders for winters.
Councillor Thiksay Constituency LAHDC Leh Stanzin Chospel, Executive Director IOCL Sujoy Choudhury, Managing Director IOCL Leh Rigzin Wangtak, officers and officials of IOCL, and residents of Shey-Thiksay were present during the function.
Earlier, Executive Director IOCL Sujoy Choudhury gave an overview of the functioning of IOCL and mentioned the timely completion of the building of ATF storage for fueling commercial flights. Sujoy also shared the future endeavours of the company envisioned by IOCL for Ladakh.
General Manager Retail Sales IOCL Amrinder Kumar also spoke on the occasion.
Towards the end, MP Jamyang Tsering Namgyal also flagged-off a cyclothon organized by ITBP from Shey filling station to Kahru filling station to promote winter-grade diesel.
