NGEEA flays privatization of PDD

JAMMU, Sept 20: J&K Non Gazetted Electrical Employees Association (NGEEA) here today held a meeting which was chaired by S. Gurmeet Singh, Provincial President of the Association.
Association General Secretary, Mohd Maqbool while speaking in the meeting said the decision of the Government to unbundle the Power Development Department (PDD) will badly affect the service rights of thousands of employees including engineers.
He further said that the people will also suffer due to this as increased tariffs will affect the poor.
Gurmeet Singh, Association Provincial President said that the move of the government to privatize PDD is anti-people.
He further said that there should be talks with the protesting PDD employees in this regard.
Arvinderpal Singh, Rajesh Jamwal, Surinder Sharma and others were also present in the meeting.
