JAMMU, June 23: The Family Welfare Center at Group Center CRPF, Jammu celebrated its foundation day on June 22 with the inauguration of a new library.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of Santosh Yadav, the President of the Regional Welfare Association and wife of Naresh Kumar Yadav, DIGP Group Center CRPF Jammu. Also in attendance were Lokamudra Khuntia, Bhavna Gupta, Sandhya Singh, and Shilpi Kumari.
During her address, the chief guest highlighted the significance of the library for the women and children residing in Government accommodation at Group Center CRPF, as well as the jawans.
She emphasized that the library is a vital resource for disseminating knowledge, promoting art and culture, and nurturing the character and development of qualified citizens. She stressed the importance of continuous efforts in developing libraries as public institutions, which cater to the needs of readers and encourage regular reading habits.
The inauguration ceremony was accompanied by a cultural program organized by the women members of the Regional Welfare Association. The program showcased the talents and creativity of the participants, contributing to the festive atmosphere of the event.
Additionally, the Family Welfare Center at Group Center CRPF Jammu conducted a summer camp that offered a range of activities. The camp included tree plantation, yoga sessions, dance and jumba classes for women, as well as competitions such as essay writing, painting, and fancy dress.
Santosh Yadav, the Regional Welfare Association President, awarded the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions to the winners of these activities, providing them with recognition and motivation.
This occasion marked an important milestone for the Family Welfare Center and the Group Center CRPF Jammu, furthering their commitment to the holistic development and well-being of the CRPF personnel and their families.
