JAMMU, May 11: Nami Dogri Sanstha (NDS) organized “e-Shradhanjali” on the 1st death anniversary of an eminent artist, son of the soil and renowned tabla maestro of international fame, late Rajinder Kumar Raina.
Rich tributes were paid to the departed artist by his disciples, eminent artists, literary personalities and various social figures, who paid their homage by way of videos, audio, scripts and heartfelt comments.
Late R K Raina got his initial training in music and tabla from eminent music teacher Pt Jagdish Sharma and thereafter, in “Banaras Gharana” for three years under his guru Pt Kishan Maharaj, a music personality of international repute and accompanied him in various national and international level concerts.
Dora Harish Kaila, president NDS described him a proud hero of duggar history. Capt Lalit Sharma stated that struggle and achievements of Raina as an artistic icon are motivating strength for our budding artists
