REASI, May 11: The locals of Ward Number 7 of village Mala of Sub Division Mahore have sought intervention of District Administration for restoration of the power supply in their area.
A local villager Mudasir Iqbal said that their area is reeling under darkness for over one month as 25 KV transformer installed in their area got damaged. He further said that even the area is declared as red zone, no action has been initiated to restore the power supply.
Another local said that the transformer installed in their ward caters the need of hundreds of houses and is lying out of order, but nobody is bothered about it.
“On one hand, we are facing problems due to ongoing lockdown while on other hand, there is no electricity for even charging our cell phones,” he narrated.
The locals appealed to the administration to look into their genuine issue and redress their problem.
When contacted Xen PDD said the delay in replacing the transformer is due to the lockdown. “The transformer will be replaced within days”, he added.
