NCP demands review of leaders’ security

JAMMU, May 6: NCP State president, Randhir Singh has condemned the killing of BJP leader Gul Mohammed Mir who was gunned down by militant in Verinag after his security was withdrawn in February this year.
The NCP leader appealed to the Home Minister, Rajnath Singh to review the security of leaders as in the last five month militant have gunned down many prominent leaders like Anil and Ajit Parihar in Kishtwar.
Addressing a press conference Randhir Singh alleged that Mehbooba Mufti’s praise for Late Rajiv Gandhi is absolutely a proof of his role as a Prime Minister who pushed the State to militancy and corruption.
He said that Rajiv Gandhi, Dr Farooq Abdullah and Mufti Mohd Sayeed in an election alliance made Sayed Sallahudin a hero by throwing him out when he was contesting assembly election from Srinagar against Sheik Abdullah’s son-in-law G.M Shah.
