JAMMU, May 6: A programme on Solid Waste Management was organized by JMC in collaboration with Govt Higher Secondary School, Paloura, here.
Principal of the school, Balbir Kumar presided over the function. He welcomed the team of JMC members.
The programme started with the presentation of bouquet by the Headmaster to Master Jorawar Singh, representative from JMC. Jorawar Singh spoke on the occasion and gave practical demonstration in the School to prepare compost from the organic waste of the house.
He motivated to prepare compost even in home and sell them for earnings.
Students and staff were pleased to know about preparation of compost and vermin compost in urban areas of the district.
The Principal appreciated the initiative of JMC.
Master Ajay was the programme coordinator, while vote of thanks was presented by the Principal of the school.
The students who installed banners and allied material were Ashwani Kumar and Ved Pal Sharma.
