NC worker shot at, man succumbs

Srinagar, June 29 : Militants this evening shot at and injured a 70-year-old activist of National Conference in Palpora village of Pulwama district in South Kashmir.
Militants barged into the house of Ali Mohammad Yatoo, 70, at Nawnagri area of Palpora, and fired at him. He was injured in the militant firing. The militants fled from the spot after carrying out the attack.
Yatoo sustained a bullet wound in his right leg and was rushed to the district hospital for treatment.
Ali Mohammad’s son Mushtaq Ahmad is block president of National Conference.
Senior police officers and security forces personnel reached the village and hunt has been launched against the militants responsible for the attack.
And a man who was injured in a mysterious blast this week at Kulgam in South Kashmir sccumbed to his injuries at SKIMS hospital in Srinagar today.
Mohammed Abass Bhat son of Abdul Rasheed Bhat resident of Chadder district Kulgam was critically injured in the blast early this week and he sccumbed to his injuries at SKIMS Soura, Srinagar today.
The deceased was first admitted at a nearby hospital where from he was shifted to SKIMS hospital Srinagar.
Mohammed Abass was among the two civilians who were injured while another had died on spot in the blast at Chadder Kulgam.
