POONCH, Sept 6: National Conference (NC) leader and Member Legislative Assembly, Mendhar, Javed Rana today said that NC will leave no stone unturned in protecting special status of Jammu and Kashmir State which is its identity and questioned role of some forces trying to communalise the situation by raking up Article 35A issue.
He was addressing a programme held to nominate new joint secretary of party for Mankote tehsil.
While addressing the workers meet held on this occasion at Mankote, Javed Rana said that Special status of the State is not confined to any region or religion but still some anti social forces and trying to give regional and religion touch to this.
” Its a State issue and not confined to any particular section of society and some forces are trying to earn communal benefit out of it and whole society should act together to give reply and to foil their nefarious designs ” Rana added.
He further said that NC will protect State’s special status and will strive hard in this manner.
” Every NC worker is standing against any attempt against special status ” lawmaker added.
Earlier, party nominated S. Manohar Singh as joint secretary of NC for tehsil Mankote and he was given his responsibility with lawmaker asked him to work in constructive manner to strengthen the party cadre in the area.
Many other senior party leaders and youth NC leaders including Zeeshan Rana were present on this occasion.
