BANIHAL, Dec 3: National Conference has expressed strong resentment over hike in the rates of rice and flour, saying this will hugely hit the poor across the State.
“Even as the people were grappling with ill-effects of demonetization, the rise in prices of essentials has come yet another blow in the wake of cash starvation”, National Conference District president Sajjad Shaheen said while addressing party functionaries at Banihal today.
He condemned callous attitude of the Coalition Government towards people and said administrative inertia has already rendered utility services dysfunctional and brought development to standstill.
In a series of meetings, Mr Shaheen also expressed anguish over attachment of Dhanmasta village and a part of Neel area with Senabati Niabat, which is also at a distance of 85 kilometers from these areas. The mindless decision has affected 1,800 house-holds who will have to traverse long distances in seek redressal to revenue related matters.
Mr Shaheen sought attachment of these villages with Batoo Niabat, a walkway distance for the inhabitants of these areas. He lashed out at the Government for taking sadistic pleasure in causing inconvenience to the people.
