JD Institute rocks in Russia

JAMMU, Dec 3: JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Jammu has been making waves in the fashion world ever since its inception nine years ago.
Adding yet another milestone to its successful journey, a design collection made by students of JD Institute Jammu was showcased at the Bollywood Film Festival being held in Russia.
The Bollywood Film Festival was started on November 30 in Russia’s Cinema Park Cineplex in 20 Russian cities with support of the embassy of India in Russia, the Ministry of Culture of Russian Federation and the Indian films and all media companies. The festival will conclude on December 7.
JD Institute of Fashion Technology is the fashion partner of the Bollywood Film Festival in Russia and showcased a fashion show on the theme ‘romance rising’ during which a collection ‘Royal Robes’ consisting of twelve garments and comprising of Indian ethnic fusion wear made by Jammu students were displayed.
Anna Gutovskaya, Director Bollywood Russia said, ‘JD institute is the only fashion college who has given maximum fashion designers to bollywood film industry like rockys , falguni and shane peacock, varun marwah, etc.
Maansi Gupta, Centre Director, JD Institute Jammu said that it is a great opportunity for the budding designers of Jammu to get exposure to such a big international platform.
Student designers who were behind the exquisite collection ‘Royal Robes’ are Akriti Khanna, Pallavi Gupta, Mrighnaini Gupta, Shivani Sharma, Davinder Kour, Jasmeen Kour, Saima Muzaffar, Manpreet Kour, Kirti Daffara, Avni Chadda, Divyashivangi Sharma, Pankhuri Sharma, Shalini Charak, Khushboo Kumari and Aanchal Ghulati.
