JAMMU, Sept 7: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU), Social today accused the National Conference (NC) which heads the Coalition Government in the State of working against the interests of OBCs for last 32 years.
The role of NC shows that it has only worked against the interests of OBCs for past 32 years its rule in the State which has also been its sole agenda, president of the Union Abdul Majid Malik told reporters here, today.
He said Government can’t deprive the deprived social castes who have been granted 27 percent reservation by the Apex Court under the garb of Article 370.
He also expressed his anguish for not taking up of the matter of reservation for the State OBCs by the Congress State unit in spite of submitting a memorandum by the vice chairman of the State OBC Advisory and Development Board, Kuldeep Raj Verma on August 30 this year to the Party and termed the five resolutions as a deceitful attitude towards the state OBCs.
Accusing the ruling alliance of playing of vote bank politics, he said the days are now gone and these political parties who betrayed the people will be taught a lesson in the coming Assembly and Parliamentary elections.
He said the OBCs in the State are firm on their stand to depose the ruling alliance in the forth coming elections.
On behalf of the Union Malik appealed all the State OBCs not to support any such political party which has not solved the matter of due share of 27 percent reservation in favour of State OBCs.
He also accused those OBC leaders who are affiliated to different political parties for pathetic condition of OBCs in the State.
