JAMMU, Apr 5: The nine-day long Navratra Festival concluded today with the immersion of ‘Saakh’ in various rivers across Jammu region.
The festival which was celebrated with religious fervor by the devotees at Bhagwan Gopinath Ashram, concluded today with Purna Aahuti at 1 PM. A huge gathering of devotees took part in the Purna Aahuti. Later, Parsad was distributed among the devotees.
“Jiyo Aur Jeene Do”, an NGO celebrated Kanya Pujan Diwas on the auspicious occasion of “Ram Navmi” at the bank of Holy River Devak in which a large number of girls were worshipped as Goddesses. The members and a large number of girls gathered at temple near the banks of holy Devak which in itself is a Goddess. The little girls were worshipped by the NGO members and were given small token of love.
Navratra Festival was also celebrated at Pushkara Swami Sewa Ashram, Chinore, Bantalab (Jammu). Today on Ram Navmi, the ‘Saakh’ of divine mother was taken to Akhnoor in the form of a procession for immersion. After culmination of the function, Prasad was served to the devotees.
Nine-day long Durga Pooja culminated today with a Mahay-agya at Sharika PeethSanstha, Subhash Nagar, Jammu. A large number of devotees participated in the function.
