NAUP flays Govt for spike in unemployment

JAMMU, Feb 1: National Awami United Party (NAUP) has flayed the Union Government for increase in unemployment in J&K in the absence of any employment policy for the youth here.
In a press conference here today NAUP district spokesperson, Parveen Kumar claimed that Jammu has not received any real benefit after the abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A.
“Meaningful gains should be transferred to Jammuites as already jobs and resources cannot be given away to outsiders without any real benefits to people of Jammu,” Kumar told reporters.
He appealed to the LG that as promised for filling of around 8500 vacancies of Class-IV in different departments only around 5000 vacancies have been filled so far and said that the left over vacancies must also be fulfilled soon as J&K is suffering large scale unemployment.
Kumar further said that thousands of daily wagers were engaged but they have not been regularized so far due to which their families are suffering for years.
He demanded regularization of these daily wagers.
Anil Dev Singh, Vijay Choudhary, Bupinder Sharma, Uttam Chand, Nater Pal and Mohit Dalhotra were also present in the press conference.
