JAMMU, Feb 1: Chairman Public Health Sanitation Committee (PHSC) of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Raj Kumar Tarkhan along with Health Officer, Dr. Sanjogita Soodan; AEE, JE PHE (Jal Shakti) and entire official staff visited areas of Raghunath Pura, Dagroo Mohalla etc in Ward number 15 to take stock of grievances of the people there.
Locals of these areas apprised the Chairman regarding problems pertaining to sanitation.
After listening to the grievances, the Chairman said that there is a dire need for maintaining optimum sanitation level in all areas especially to stop breeding of mosquito and other insects.
He stressed upon the need of extra-caution in view of increasing cases of Dengue and Chicken Pox at a time when the nation is already facing the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
The PHSC Chairman directed JMC staff to clean the drains and lanes of the area and ensure that the same is followed by continuously fogging in the area.
He said that JMC always stands with the people and is committed to solve their problems.
