NAUP demands amendment in Farm Bills to end stalemate

JAMMU, Dec 5: Extending support to agitating farmers, National Awami United Party (NAUP) president, Sandeep Singh has asked the union government to consider the genuine demands of farmers of the country and amend Farm Laws to end the stalemate.
Singh extended support to the agitating farmers and terming their demands as genuine.
Speaking in a meeting he said, after implementation of farm bills, small farmers will suffer and assurance on MSP will clear the doubt.
“Many rounds of talks between the government and agitating farmers have failed to reach any decision,” the NAUP leader said claiming that the government is focusing on the welfare of corporate houses but has no intention to see apprehensions of farmers who are concerned about their produce.
He asked the agitating farmers to remain vigilant from certain forces hell bent to derail their agitation from the core issue.
“No one should be allowed the take political mileage from farmers’ agitation,” Singh maintained.
Karanjeet Singh, Pankaj Langoo and Shikha Bandral Thakur were also present in the meeting.
