JAMMU, Nov 23: Natrang is going to organize a mega theatrical show on the supreme sacrifice of Dogra folk legend Bawa Jitto at Jhiri Mela on November 24 and 25 at the main stage of Jhiri Mela.
The show timings will be 7 pm on both of these days. This was informed here today by the Natrang Director Padamshree Balwant Thakur in a press briefing at Natrang Studio Theatre.
“Natrang has been organizing the shows of Bawa Jitto for the last ten years at Jhiri Mela which have been witnessed by lakhs of people. The presentation of this mega theatre show of Natrang is supported by the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board and Bawa Jitmal Shrine Mela Committee, Jhiri”, he said adding this is a rarest opportunity for the audience to live through a six hundred year old saga in memory of which this festival is held every year since ages.
Giving further details, Balwant Thakur said that people from all over the North India throng to the venue and Natrang utilizes this opportune moment by showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the region through the presentation of the play Bawa Jitto.
