Jammu, Aug 17: Natrang today felicitated the first girl from the State of Jammu & Kashmir who has set new trends by simultaneously making it to Mollywood, Bollywood and Pollywood films.
Featuring as lead actress with the Mollywood superstar (Malayalam) Mammoth in the star buster ‘Acha Din’, Mansi Sharma is going to be the first girl from J&K to achieve this level stardom. Simultaneously she is featuring as lead actress in Pollywood (Punjabi films) ‘Jugadi.com’ which is releasing all over India next month. On her visit to Jammu a small felicitation function was held at Natrang studio theatre in which she was felicitated by Natrang Director Padamshree Balwant Thakur.
Mansi Sharma started her acting career from Natrang with Balwant Thakur’s internationally acclaimed Dogri play ‘Ghumayee’. With Natrang Mansi Sharma worked for over two years and participated in series of plays including ‘Bawa Jitto’ ‘Lekhak’, ‘Natak Nahien’ ‘Suno Eh Kahani’ ‘Dr. Palta’ ‘Aaj Ki Aurat’ and many plays of Natrang’s popular Sunday Theatre series in addition to Balwant Thakur’s dance show ‘Jashn-e-Kashmir’.
Speaking on the occasion Mansi Sharma credited Natrang for grooming her talent and provided her the opportunity to take part in its major productions like Ghumayee and Bawa Jitto. She also credited her parents for being very supportive and encouraging. The function was followed by an interaction programme in which young new aspiring actors of Natrang participated.
Mansi has been a part of most well-liked Television Commercials like Idea, Toyota Innova, Dell, Central Bank, Lacto Calamine , Wella hair Colour with well-known Celebs John and Bipasha. In addition to it, she has graced a scores of Print Commercials also. She gained amazing experience in Mumbai as she worked in Aasman Se Aage with Apoorva Agnihotri and Mauli Ganguly for Life Ok , Jai Jai Jai Bajrangbali, Fear files, Mahabharta for Star Plus, Shapath and a number of episodes of CID and Sawdhaan India and a has recently signed an important role in a new tele serial for Sony Channel.
Prominent among those who were present at the occasion included Neeraj Kant, Sumeet Sharma, Vawan Verma, Ankush Lathnotra, Sajra Qadir, Mohd. Yaseen, Rajan Takyal and Shivam Singh.
