KATHUA, Dec 27: Chief patron, J&K National Panthers Party (JKNPP) and Member of National Integration Council, Prof Bhim Singh made a scathing attack on the leadership of the national parties namely Congress, BJP and National Conference for playing fraud with the people of Jammu Pradesh particularly the refugees of Pakistan, refugees of PoK and the refugees from Chhamb and Deva-Batala who have been living a tragic life for the past 60 years.
Addressing a public rally in Kerian and Gandyal, Bhim said that the Panthers Party was formed in J&K to ensure that civil and political rights would be ensured to the refugees from Pakistan, who have been denied citizenship rights or right to vote even though their three generations have been living in J&K. Besides, the refugees from PoK have not been given the refugee status nor they have been settled in last 60 years by the NC-Congress combine, he added.
NPP Supremo mocked at BJP leaders who have been shedding crocodile tears for years but when they came to power in the Centre, the BJP followed the foot-sets of the Congress.
Prof Singh accused Congress of the betrayal of the people of Jammu. He pointed out that the Congress Government spent Rs 5000 crore to build a railway tunnel from Qazigund to Banihal, but could not build a bridge to connect the Kerian-Gandyal with Kathua and did not care to spend Rs 10 crore for a bridge in Jathana where people have been living in wretched condition for the past 60 years.
