Narrow escape for pilgrims

JAMMU, Nov 23: Six pilgrims of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi ji shrine and pilot had narrow escape as a pigeon struck Himalayan Heli chopper mid air when it was ferrying passengers from Sanji Chat to Katra this afternoon.
Sources said the chopper being commanded by Pilot Rajeev Dua was flying over Railway Station Katra at the height of 300 feet when a pigeon was trapped in rotars of the helicopter at 4.20 pm today.
However, the Pilot managed to land the helicopter safely at Katra helipad. All passengers and the Pilot were safe.
The helicopter has been grounded.
Sources said a major tragedy was averted as the Pilot managed to land the helicopter safely at Katra helipad.
