UDHAMPUR, Aug 4: Udhampur Police today arrested a narcotics smuggler from Jhajjar Dhak, near Tikri and seized 180 grams of opium from his possession.
Reports said that a police party of Police Station Rehambal, led by SHO Ajay Bhat, laid a naka at Jhajjar Dhak area and intercepted the suspect, who was on his way from Jhajjar area to Tikri on foot. 180 grams of opium was recovered from search of the accused, identified as Gani Mohd son of Hashim Din of village Sundrani, Tikri Udhampur.
Police arrested on accused and seized the recovered opium. In this connection, a case FIR number 142/2019 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Rehambal.
